One Arlington restaurant temporarily closed during recent health inspection
One Arlington restaurant was temporarily closed due to a serious health violation during a recent inspection, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.
There were 160 restaurant inspections conducted by the City of Arlington between July 27 and Aug. 9.
Arlington restaurants are scored on a 100-point system, with 100 being a perfect score. Restaurants and other places that serve food that score 75 or less require a follow-up inspection, and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor.
Egg Bar, a full-service restaurant at 457 E. Interstate 20, Suite 121, was temporarily closed during an Aug. 5 follow-up inspection after health inspectors noticed that the floor drains within the eatery were backing up with wastewater and not draining properly. The restaurant corrected the problem and reopened the next day. Egg Bar had scored 71 during a previous inspection on Aug. 1.
Two other establishments scored 75 or less in this round of inspections:
- El Toro Sinaloense, at 1520 Nolan Ryan Expressway. Score: 73.
- Meadow View Assisted Living, at 2815 Medlin Drive. Score: 74.
There were 45 follow-up inspections during this inspection cycle.
