Roaches, rodent droppings found in 5 restaurants in Tarrant health inspections
Two restaurants were temporarily closed and rodent droppings and roaches were found at others in the latest round of Tarrant County health inspections, according to the inspection reports.
The reports compiled by the Star-Telegram contain violations and data from June 8 to June 21 and the results of 323 inspections.
Tarrant County’s inspections function on a 100-point system: a score of 100 is considered perfect and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor.
Two restaurants were temporarily closed in this round of inspections:
- Taqueria Estilo Guanajuato, located at 3013 W. Fuller Ave. near Fort Worth, had a score of 87. The operator agreed to close the restaurant due to a lack of hot water.
- Spring To Health Apothecary, located at 900 S. Main St. in Keller, had a score of 98. The restaurant closed voluntarily to address a clogged floor drain beneath a sink.
Two restaurants had issues with rodents or rodent droppings:
- Fred’s Downtown Philly, located at 505 N. Industrial Boulevard in Bedford, had a score of 92.
- Caffe Noliz - TCC Northeast, located at 828 Harwood Road in Hurst, had a score of 97
Four restaurants had issues with roaches:
- Sichuan Kitchen And Poke, located at 775 Grapevine Highway in Hurst, had a score of 80
- Sushi River, located at 841 North Tarrant Parkway in Keller, had a score of 83
- Busy Bs Bakery And Donuts, located at 3919 Colleyville Boulevard in Colleyville, had a score of 89
- Fred’s Downtown Philly, located at 505 N. Industrial Boulevard in Bedford, had a score of 92
