Need a Valentine’s date night? Two North Texas restaurants are ranked the best in the U.S.
If you have yet to make Valentine’s Day plans, you should try one of these two North Texas restaurants that Yelp ranked as the best date night spots in the U.S.
Yelp recently released a list of the 100 best date night restaurants in the country, based on Yelpers’ ratings. It’s not too late to make the date, as the ranking also revealed that 61 percent of customers make their reservations the week of Valentine’s Day and 21 percent reserve a table on the actual holiday.
Texas appeared on the list seven times, including two Dallas restaurants– Saviano’s Italian Kitchen and Bowen House. Whether you want to stay in the D-FW metroplex for the holiday, or make a road trip to Austin, Houston or San Antonio, these restaurants are date night-worthy.
Which Texas restaurants made Yelp’s Top 100 date night spots?
These seven restaurants made the list:
Interno Restaurant, Austin. A nice bonus with this date night spot is that they made gourmet chocolates available for pre-order to pick up at the restaurant. For those who chose to go here they can kill two birds with one stone: a rendezvous and gift in one.
The Chef’s Table, Houston. This place has a Valentine’s Day special for $95 per person which offers an 8-ounce center-cut filet & prawn Thermidor, Huguenot or Diane sauce, and a glass of Anura Brut sparkling wine.
Hestia, Austin. For Valentine’s Day they are offering a $215 eight-course dinner with a $135 wine pairing that also includes caviar bumps and a martini cart.
J-Prime Steakhouse, San Antonio. The Valentine’s Day menu features a $129 predetermined four-course dinner.

Saviano’s Italian Kitchen, Euless. This spot features a housemade limoncello and a mean happy hour from Monday to Thursday from 3 p.m to 6 p.m., including a $5 house cabernet and chardonnay, $4.50 domestic beers and $7 bites. There’s also live music from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Reservations are available on Feb. 14 for 4, 4:15, 9:45 and 10 p.m.
Bowen House in Dallas features a simple and short menu. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with $9 cocktails, $4 bottles and cans of beer, $10-$15 bites and $10 glasses of wine. Call after noon to make a reservation.
Nori, Austin. Valentine’s Day specials at this Japanese restaurant include a five-course omakase (chef’s menu).
Yelp-ranked North Texas date night spots
Saviano’s Italian Kitchen is located on 300 N. Main St., Euless. This family-owned restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saviano’s is closed on Sundays.
Yelpers gave this date night spot 4.4 out of 5 stars.
“Worth the wait is what I can say about this gem,” according to a review from Christina M. “Our food was fabulous too! I got fettuccini Alfredo and my husband got the vodka penne - both spectacular - I liked eating both and we ate family style. We also got cheesecake which was perfect to end our meal.”
Bowen House is in Dallas at 2614 Boll St. They are open Sunday through Tuesday from 4 p.m. until midnight and on Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Reviewers also rated this watering hole a 4.4. out of 5 stars. Yelper Cedrick T. said: “4/5 Food, Only standout was the fried brie, but that’s not to say the food was also well made. 6/5 Drinks, I am honestly not one to get countless cocktails as I genuinely prefer hard liquor straight. This was a special occasion, well made drinks and our waiter/bartender was phenomenal.”
