1 Forest Hill restaurant closed in latest round of Tarrant County health inspections

One of the 110 Tarrant County restaurants inspected from Jan. 22 to Jan. 28 was closed after inspectors found serious health code violations, according to data from the county compiled by the Star-Telegram.

A Wendy’s at 6321 Wichita St. in Forest Hill was closed due to insufficient hot water supply and was allowed to reopen after the problem was corrected.

Tarrant County Public Health inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills.

While no restaurants did poorly enough to warrant a follow-up inspection, three restaurants did have noteworthy offenses.

EC La Esperanza Corp in Haltom City was cited for a lack of properly working handwashing sinks, which was required to be fixed by the next day.

Sol Dias in Haltom City had repeat violations for using handwashing sinks to store and clean dirty utensils and food pans, with the county warning the restaurant that any more violations of this sort will require it to install additional sinks to ensure compliance.

In Hurst, Logan’s Roadhouse at 948 NE Loop 820 had damaged floor tiles with water in them throughout the kitchen and missing grout in the floor, a repeat violation.
