No Tarrant County restaurants closed for health violations in recent inspections

No Tarrant County restaurants were closed for serious health violations during the Oct. 9-15 inspections, according to data from the county compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Of the 78 locations Tarrant County Public Health inspectors visited the second week of October, 29 received a perfect score of zero. Nine more received a score of one or two.

The Mango Twist, located in the North East Mall at 1101 Melbourne Road in Hurst, scored the highest at 26. Among other things, inspectors noted the refrigerators were set too high and flies were landing on open cups of fruit.

A followup inspection is required for establishments that receive more than 29 demerits.

Two Lake Worth restaurants that scored poorly in a recent inspection received followup visits.

Long John Silvers located at 6042 Lake Worth Blvd. and Burger King located at 6625 Lake Worth Blvd. scored 30 and 31 respectively in September. On Oct. 11, Long John Silvers scored 5 and Burger King 15.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants that Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) inspected for Oct. 9th - Oct. 15th, 2022. TCPH inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system.
