No Fort Worth restaurants failed inspections or were closed by the city in the latest round of inspections conducted from July 3 to July 9.

According to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram, four restaurants received high, but passing, scores.

In Fort Worth, a score of 30 or higher is considered to be poor. Restaurants with those high scores are required to fix the most serious problems immediately and undergo a followup inspection.

The highest score in Fort Worth from July 3 to July 9 was a 27 at East Food Mart, at 2740 Sandy Lane. Inspectors found improper insect control devices, improperly stored food and bad practices for washing utensils and equipment in the establishment.

Alp Pupuseria Morazan, at 5201 McCart Ave., had the second highest score with a 26. Inspectors found violations including cracks at the back door that can’t properly keep out rodents and pests, improperly stored food and no inspection report signage displayed.

El Borrego De Oro at 1126 E. Seminary Drive also had a score of 26, with inspectors noting improperly stored food, inadequate hand washing and clean pots stored on the floor of a back room.

At 11 restaurants, black organic matter was observed inside ice machines or soda nozzles.

When the total exceeds 30, the restaurant must take immediate corrective action on all identified critical violations, then has 48 hours to initiate corrective action on all other violations.
