Arlington Thai restaurant, burger spot cited for multiple violations in recent health inspections
Two Arlington restaurants will undergo followups after one restaurant failed its inspection and another was cited for several violations including a gnat infestation.
From July 3 through July 9, 64 food establishments underwent health inspections from the City of Arlington. No restaurants were shut down by inspectors, but two restaurants scored below a 75 — where a 100 is considered a perfect score, and a 70 is considered extremely poor — and will need to undergo follow-ups in upcoming weeks..

Thai Texas, located at 5736 SW Green Oaks Blvd., scored a 66 and failed its inspection. The restaurant was cited for improper cooling violations, improper hand-washing, unsanitary conditions, improper use of chemical containers which were reused for food storage and lacking date marking.
Tom’s Burger and Grill, located at 1530 N. Cooper St., scored a 74, and was docked for violations including an untrained food service manager on duty, poor building maintenance inside the kitchen area, a gnat infestation, damaged equipment and uncovered and unlabeled food storage.
Both Thai Texas and Tom’s Burger and Grill will be inspected again, unannounced.
