Dollar General in Tarrant County cited for rodent droppings during health inspections

No Tarrant County food establishments were shut down during recent health inspections of restaurants and other businesses that serve food, but one was cited for rodent droppings.

Tarrant County Public Health inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills, which conduct their own inspections.

Out of 95 inspections conducted from June 5 through June 11, none scored over 29 demerits, which would’ve required a followup inspection.



A Dollar General in Rendon, located at 5960 Lillian Road, received a demerit for “observed rodent droppings” in its back room, according to data from the county compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Tarrant County inspects retail food establishments, which include stores like Dollar General if they sell food.

No establishments underwent followup inspection.
