Inspectors find bugs, rodents at 15 Fort Worth restaurant kitchens, including a hospital
One of the 56 Fort Worth restaurants inspected between June 5 and June 11 will have to undergo a followup visit from health inspectors, according to information from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.
In Fort Worth, restaurant scores go up the more health code violations they have. A score of 0 is considered perfect, where a score of 30 or higher means the restaurants have to immediately correct the most serious issues and undergo a followup inspection within 48 hours.
Cesar’s Tacos at 4728 South Freeway received a score of 35, with inspectors noting problems including a dead bug on a food prep table, unclean kitchen conditions, improperly stored food, failure to prevent cross-contamination, damaged cooking utensils and damage to floor, wall and/or ceiling surfaces.
Inspectors found insects, pests or rodents at 14 other restaurants, both dead and alive, including at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at 1400 8th Ave. and Plaza Medical Center at 900 8th Ave., where inspectors noted flies in the kitchen.
