Police in Arlington have found the 13-year-old girl who went missing Tuesday from Honey Grove, a northeast Texas town. An Amber Alert was issued early Thursday morning for the girl, who had last been seen Tuesday afternoon.

Kionna Braxton went missing from the 1000 block of Elm Street in Honey Grove, located about 115 miles northeast of Fort Worth.

Braxton was safe when they found her, according to Arlington police. An Arlington police spokesperson said they received a tip Thursday that Braxton may be in the city. Following up on the tip, police found her in an apartment along with other people.

Police said they are interviewing the other people who were in the apartment to figure out why and how Braxton got there. The investigation is ongoing, according to the spokesman.

The Honey Grove Police Department issued the Amber Alert because they believed Braxton might have been in grave or immediate danger.
