In recent Fort Worth health inspections, only one restaurant required a followup after being cited for food cross-contamination, a fly trap stored “directly over food” and unsafe storing temperatures.

From May 29 through June 4, 31 food establishments underwent inspections. No Fort Worth restaurants were closed for serious health violations.

However, Mariscos Elwero Grill, at 114 Sycamore School Road, scored a 39 on May 29. Any restaurant that scores over 30 demerits is required to fix the worst problems immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours.

Upon its follow-up inspection, Mariscos Elwero Grill scored an 11.

King Wok, located at 4544 Golden Triangle Blvd., also scored poorly, with a 25. Although it wasn’t shut down nor required a followup, the restaurant was cited for an employee handling food with their bare hands, an expired health permit and unclean walls, floors and ceilings.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Fort Worth for May 29th - June 4th, 2022. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 30, the restaurant must take immediate corrective action on all identified critical violations, then has 48 hours to initiate corrective action on all other violations.
