Ninety-three Tarrant County restaurants pass health inspections without need for followup

All 93 restaurants inspected by Tarrant County Public Health passed without any need for followups in recent inspections.

The inspected food establishments, located in cities other than Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills, all of which conduct their own health inspections, did not score over 29 demerits which would require a followup. Recent inspections ran from March 13-19.

Burning Rice, located at 520 Grapevine Highway in Hurst, and Manny’s Uptown Tex Mex Restaurant, located at 151 Nolen Drive in Southlake, both were cited with the most violations with scores of 24.

Burning Rice was cited for its vent hood being six months overdue for a cleaning, in addition to its food hot hold unit being under an appropriate temperature, a manager “reheating food in the microwave for extended hot hold use” and improper washing and sanitation of kitchen items.

Manny’s Uptown Tex Mex Restaurant was cited for a dirty ice machine and a “whole chicken container in the walk-in cooler not [being] covered.”

Nearly 50 restaurants were not cited for violations and scored perfectly.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants that Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) inspected for March 13th - 19th, 2022. TCPH inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 29, a follow-up inspection is required. To search the restaurant inspections, type in a keyword or restaurant name. You can also sort by score.
