Tarrant County school cited for roaches, rodents; no restaurants need follow-up inspections

No restaurant required follow-ups in Tarrant County’s most recent health inspections.

Between Feb. 27 and March 5, public health officials inspected 67 restaurants and other places that serve food located throughout the county except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills, which conduct their own inspections.

Of those 67 inspections, no restaurant received over 29 demerits, which would require a follow-up inspection.

Crowley Ninth Grade Campus, at 1016 FM 1187, was cited for having rodent and roach issues and was told to get a licensed pest control applicator to treat the concession stand for the pests, according to the inspection report.

Another school in the Crowley district, North Crowley Ninth Grade Campus, at 4630 McPherson Road, received a follow-up inspection from violations in a previous week. The school scored perfectly in its follow-up.

Excellence Early Learning Center, located at 305 E. Hurst Blvd., scored the worst in the recent inspections with a score of 21 and citations for improper sanitation, an employee with long nails not using gloves and for food that had been opened or prepared and required refrigeration not being properly date tracked.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants that Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) inspected for Feb. 27th - March 5th, 2022. TCPH inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 29, a follow-up inspection is required. To search the restaurant inspections, type in a keyword or restaurant name. You can also sort by score.
