Reata among restaurants with most violations in latest Fort Worth health inspections

One restaurant closed and three had follow-up inspections in Fort Worth from Sept. 19-Oct. 8.

Salata, located at 520 Commerce St. downtown, was inspected on Sept. 27 and closed for lack of hot water in its establishment, according to complied city data.

Edohana Hibachi & Sushi at 5816 Southwest Loop 820, Taqueria La Pequena at 3734 E. Rosedale St. and Milano’s Pizza and Pasta at 3416 West 7th St. had follow-up inspections and all received under 30 violations.

In Fort Worth inspections, restaurants with over 30 infractions are required to fix the worst violations immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours.



The highest score in the latest round of inspections was Edohana Hibachi & Sushi with 26, followed by Market Latina Restaurant at 201 Northeast 28th St. and Reata Restaurant at 310 Houston St. with scores of 25 each.

Market Latina Restaurant was given infractions on Sept. 21 for roaches in the warewashing area and improper food storage.

Reata Restaurant, inspected Sept. 21, scored a 25 for out-of date milk products in the cooler and black organic material in its ice machine.

When the total exceeds 30, the restaurant must take immediate corrective action on all identified critical violations, then has 48 hours to initiate corrective action on all other violations.
