Four Fort Worth restaurants close to fix health violations in 3 weeks of inspections
Four Fort Worth restaurants were closed for health inspection violations between July 18 and Aug. 7, and one had more than 30 violations, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.
Another eight eateries received perfect scores, meaning no health code violations were noted by inspectors.
Supermercado Teloloapan No. 15, located at 2755 Ellis Ave. in Fort Worth, received the most violations, with 39. Any restaurant that receives more than 30 health code violations must correct the most serious problems immediately and clean up the rest for a reinspection in 48 hours.
Inspectors at the Hispanic market noted organic black matter growing in the ice machine, improperly stored food, improper food handling, improper storage of toxic chemicals and inadequate water supply, among other violations.
An employee who declined to connect the Star-Telegram with a manager said the market fixed some plumbing issues and was reopened.
Fat Cat Express, El Pollo Regio at 5324 E. Lancaster, Church’s Chicken on East Lancaster and Pizza Hut on East Berry Street were all closed for serious health violations. Those restaurants were required to fix those violations before reopening.
Six other establishments had more than 25 violations noted by inspectors, according to the data.
Snagging perfect scores, Alliance Medical Center, Beacon Cafe at 12721 North Highway 287 Business, Boston’s Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar, Mira Vista Court Nursing, Salad and Go, Second Rodeo Brewing Co., and Uplift Crescendo Prep School were all found to have no violations when inspectors visited the establishments.
