Colleen Coyle’s Christmas-sweater jump turns into a meme
For a DFW.com package this week on the popularity of ugly Christmas sweaters, we sought out a few DFW personalities who have ugly-Christmas-sweater tales to tell. People such as KVIL/103.7 FM’s Sybil Summers, who makes her own, and Max’s Wine Dive Fort Worth executive chef Stefon Rishel, who has a Christmas sweater vest that he’ll wear only to certain parties.
A common theme among them: When our photographers came to take photos of the personalities modeling the sweaters, everyone proved to be a willing, adventurous subject. Something about having an ugly Christmas sweater really puts you into the spirit for a photo.
But probably nobody was more in the spirit than WFAA/Channel 8 meterologist Colleen Coyle, who has a couple of Christmas sweaters that come from her mom (Coyle says that she actually thinks the sweaters are kind of cute and that she’s seen much tackier).
It was Coyle who suggested to Star-Telegram photographer Max Faulkner, who did the photo shoot at WFAA’s Victory Park studios, that she jump during the photo. In front of a green-screen. While wearing green pants. And her jumping skills are impressive. As are the green-screen skills of her social-media followers.
Here’s our personal fave:

We get the feeling that there will be still more — and Coyle tells us that there’ll be a segment about the photos on Friday’s 4 p.m. newscast on WFAA/Channel 8. Might as well jump!
