‘Dutton Ranch’ star Kelly Reilly teases when season 2 filming begins in North Texas
One of the stars of “Dutton Ranch” is teasing when filming begins on season 2.
The Paramount+ series spent eight months filming all across North Texas, including in Ferris, Dallas and Fort Worth. The show wrapped up its nine-episode first season on July 3 with a huge cliffhanger that puts a main character in jeopardy. For anyone that missed the finale, the Star-Telegram recapped the whole enchilada.
In a recent conversation with the Hollywood Reporter, “Dutton Ranch” co-leads Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly were asked about when the show begins filming season 2.
Here’s what they said.
When will ‘Dutton Ranch’ return to North Texas?
Editor’s note: Spoilers for “Dutton Ranch” season 1 below
“Dutton Ranch” is expected to begin season 2 filming at the top of next year.
“We’re slated to start early 2027 to film. But the [writing] room starts up pretty quick,” Reilly said. “I think we’re going to be very much involved in the room, so the next sort of six months is all about writing it.”
As for who’s returning in season 2, Reilly and Hauser are keeping mum.
“Who knows! It’s up for grabs, I think, right now,” Reilly said.
“Everything’s on the table, and that’s the great thing. The one thing that’s más importante is that we get our kid back. That’s going to take a couple episodes, hopefully. But Carter needs to come home,” Hauser said.
