Love the State Fair for its food? You’ll love FoodieLand at Texas Motor Speedway
If you’ve been craving an authentic Maine lobster roll or Hawaiian shave ice, soon you can indulge in these treats without traveling out of Fort Worth.
FoodieLand is the largest small business food vendor festival in the country, and it’s coming to the Texas Motor Speedway from June 5 to 7. Festival-goers will have more than 100 vendors to choose from.
While DFW businesses like Sandoitchi and Hawaiian Bros will be there, this is a chance for locals to try international foods that may not be so common here in North Texas.
Tanghulu will be offered, which is a viral Chinese dessert of fruit dipped into a hard-shelled candy coating. Hawaiian delicacies like spam musubi and shave ice will also be available. Lumpia, a popular Filipino spring roll, comes in buckets. And West African Jollof rice also makes a few appearances.
More familiar favorites like Louisiana frog legs and boudin balls are on a few menus. And for the Texas tastebuds, there is plenty of fried chicken, whole turkey legs, brisket and birria variations. Out-of-the-box dishes like fried pizza, sushi pizza and a whole fried squid will also be there for those who dare.
FoodieLand is like the State Fair of Texas with the creative food and without the rides and rodeo.
