Fort Worth-filmed ‘The Madison’ is Taylor Sheridan’s biggest series launch ever

Taylor Sheridan’s latest show is the most-watched series launch of his career.

“The Madison” premiered its first three episodes on March 14 and final three on March 21 via Paramount+. The Michelle Pfeiffer-led show is described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family (the Clyburns) in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

Paramount annouced last week that “The Madison” scored 8 million views globally in its first 10 days.

In addition to being his most-watched debut season ever, “The Madison” is also Sheridan’s biggest series debut among women ages 35 and up, per Paramount.

Production on the show took place in Montana and in North Texas, where the region stood in for New York City.

Several Fort Worth locations appeared this season, including restaurants like Emilia’s, Clay Pigeon and Wicked Butcher. The AC Hotel, Cherry Coffee Shop and the Modern Art Museum also make an appearance.

The Star-Telegram put together a full list of all the locations, here.

“The Madison” has already been renewed, and filmed, its second season.

Again, the series spilt production between Montana and North Texas, where the region stood in for the Big Apple. In addition to Fort Worth, the series filmed in Dallas and Denton.

No release date has been set for the second go-around. It’s also unclear if the new season will again be six episodes.

In addition to Pfeiffer, “The Madison” stars Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Kevin Zegers and Will Arnett.

“The Madison” season 1 is streaming on Paramount+.
