‘Lioness’ and ‘The Dutton Ranch’ are casting extras for filming in North Texas
After a busy 2025 of making shows in Fort Worth, Taylor Sheridan isn’t slowing down.
“Landman” season 2 filmed in and around Cowtown over the spring and summer, followed by production on “The Dutton Ranch” season 1 and “Lioness” season 3 in the fall.
“The Madison” season 2 also stopped by before the end of the year.
Just like many North Texans went back to work this week after the holidays, so did the cast and crew of two Sheridan-created shows.
Cameras have begun rolling again on “Lioness” and “Dutton Ranch,” which means extras are needed for filming. Texas-based Legacy Casting has a released a few casting calls to fill those roles.
Here’s what to know.
‘The Dutton Ranch’ season 1
Legacy is looking for folks to portray upscale party guests in a scene filming Wednesday through Friday and on Jan. 25 in Ferris, Texas.
The casting call says this will be an “upscale socialite type party” with all the main cast’s family and friends present to celebrate the anniversary of a friend. Furthermore, Legacy says folks should envision the opening party scene of Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives.”
There will be no pre-fitting before filming and extras must bring their own “fancy, high end wardrobe.” The pay rate is $110 for 10 hours of work. Apply here.
‘Lioness’ season 3
Legacy is looking for extras to portray Ukrainians for filming in Fort Worth on Thursday.
The casting notices are for a mother, an old woman, a scrawny old man and a 9-year-old girl. The pay rate is $200 for 12 hours of work.
Several extras are needed for a nightclub scene filming in Dallas on Jan. 13.
