Starting in December, North Texas comedy fans will have more reasons to smile. A new comedy club is coming to Irving, and its opening night headliner is none other than Dave Chappelle.

The Punch Line Irving Comedy Club will host its grand opening Dec. 17 and 18, with four shows from Chappelle. Here’s how to get tickets and what to know about future events.

Where is the Punch Line Irving Comedy Club?

Punch Line Irving is located in Irving’s Las Colinas development at 310 W. Las Colinas Blvd., Suite 130 Irving, TX 75039. It’s right next to the Toyota Music Factory.

The Punch Line Comedy Club started in San Francisco in 1978 and also has locations in Sacramento, Philadelphia and Houston. Chappelle has called the club “sacred ground,” according to a news release.

Punch Line will have open mic nights starting in December, according to a news release. To participate in an open mic night, all you have to do is bring two non-perishable food items to be donated to the North Texas Food Bank
