Boo at the Zoo is back in Fort Worth. What to expect with parking and traffic
Children who dress up as their favorite animals can spend the weekend with the real-life Mufasa and Baloo at the Fort Worth Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo from Friday, Oct. 24 to Sunday, Oct. 26.
The annual, weekend-long event will feature trick or treating, animal entertainment and a painted pumpkin patch.
The National Weather Service predicts a weekend full of showers and possible thunderstorms. However, the Fort Worth Zoo says the festivities will happen rain or shine, so bring your umbrellas and rain ponchos.

How much are tickets for Fort Worth’s Boo at the Zoo?
Tickets for Boo at the Zoo event are included in the general admission price.
- Adults (ages 13 to 64): $20.
- Children (ages 3 to 12): $16.
- Seniors (65 years and older): $16.
- Guests receive six trick or treat coupons with each purchased general admission ticket. Any additional treat coupons cost $5 per six tickets.
Trick or treat coupons can be bought at most retail locations around the zoo and can be redeemed at treat stations throughout the park. One treat coupon equals four pieces of candy.

Events at the Zoo can bring traffic along University Drive and Forest Park Blvd., especially around the opening time of 10 a.m., so plan accordingly.
Parking is $5 at the lots located right out front the main entrance along Flamingo Drive at 1989 Colonial Pkwy.
Public Transportation into Fort Worth Zoo
To avoid parking, guests can take the Trinity Metro Bus or use a ride-share app to get to the zoo.
- Trinity Metro Bus: bus route 53 goes directly into the Fort Worth Zoo. Use the GoPass app to find the best route from your specific location.
- Ride Share apps (Uber, Lyft): drop off at the designated ride-share drop off near the main entrance of the zoo.
