Lil Nas X adds 2 Texas stops to ‘Long Live Montero’ tour, including Irving
Lil Nas X is coming to Texas.
The singer announced added dates in Irving and Houston to his 22-show “Long Live Montero” tour on Wednesday.
Tickets for both shows are available in a VIP and Live Nation presale at 10 a.m. Thursday at ticketmaster.com. He’ll play The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving on Oct. 12. He plays at 713 Music Hall in Houston the night before.
The tour is scheduled to start Sept. 6 in Detroit and finish in San Francisco on Oct. 23.
The artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, apologized to fans for not originally including Texas stops when the tour was announced in April in a post to his 7.7 million Twitter followers.
“I’m sorry I’m not coming to Texas for [the] tour,” Nas X posted on April 28. “my ex lives out there.”
He was likely joking with a reference to the George Strait classic “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.” Either way, it’s not stopping him now.
