A new Harry Potter exhibition just opened in Dallas. Here’s how to get tickets

Fans of Harry Potter can now experience the magic up close in Dallas.

The new Harry Potter: The Exhibition invites guests to step inside the wizarding world with movie props, costumes worn by the actors, and scenes that bring Hogwarts to life.

Visitors can explore familiar settings, try out spells and see how the story’s most famous moments were created for the screen.

What is Harry Potter: The Exhibition?

The traveling exhibition features a collection of authentic props, costumes, and set pieces from the ”Harry Potter” films.

It’s designed to let fans walk through key moments from the series, from Hagrid’s Hut to the Great Hall.

Guests can interact with displays, learn how special effects were created, and see up close the wardrobe and items used on set.

Using a digital wristband, visitors can personalize their journey by selecting a Hogwarts house and unlocking interactive moments along the way.

What can I expect from the Dallas experience?

The Dallas stop offers everything fans might imagine from a trip to the wizarding world, and more.

The exhibition blends film nostalgia with modern technology, giving visitors a chance to cast spells through motion sensors, conjure their Patronus on a digital screen and test their potion making skills.

Each gallery is filled with photo-worthy displays and hands-on activities that bring the story to life for both kids and adults.

Visitors will also find behind-the-scenes stories about how the “Harry Potter” movies were made, with commentary and props showing how filmmakers transformed the books into an eight-part film series.

There’s even a look at creatures from the expanded Wizarding World, like those seen in ”Fantastic Beasts.”

The experience is made to be easy and enjoyable for all ages, something that longtime fans can appreciate and new fans can understand without feeling lost.

Is there an adults-only option?

Yes. The Dallas location also offers an After Hours experience for guests 18 and older.

These special sessions run from 6 to 9 p.m. and include complimentary snacks and a cocktail or mocktail.

The event allows adults to explore the exhibit at a slower pace and enjoy an evening version of the attraction.

Tickets for After Hours start at $50, and organizers recommend booking early since spots tend to sell out quickly.

How much do tickets cost & where is it located?

General admission tickets start around $24 to $34 for adults and $18 for children ages 3 to 12, depending on the date and time.

Family bundles and VIP packages with extras like audio guides and souvenirs are also available.

The exhibition is located at 14902 Preston Road, Suite 1200, in Dallas, near the Galleria area. Each visit lasts about 60 to 90 minutes.

The venue is fully ADA-compliant and certified as a sensory-inclusive experience. Children under 3 get in free, and guests aged 15 and under should be accompanied by someone at least 16 years old.
