North Texas artists Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett are going on tour — but not in Fort Worth

North Texas artists Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett are teaming up on a new tour this summer and fall — but they aren’t coming to North Texas.

Of the duo’s 21 tour dates, which will take them across the country and even into Canada, there are zero shows listed for North Texas. Instead, the only Texas stops will also be the tour’s final two shows in The Woodlands and Austin.

“The Crooner & The Cowboy Tour” unites the two North Texas staples — Bridges is from Fort Worth, and Crockett is from Dallas. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on June 5.

The tour is special for Bridges, who said that he and Crockett have been chasing this dream side by side for a decade.

“We grew up in this thing together,” Bridges wrote on Instagram. “From the smallest clubs you can imagine — places where you could hear a pin drop, or sometimes, folks talkin’ over the music. But we kept on grinding!”

Crockett opened for Bridges last year in the final, sold-out show of Bridge’s “Leon” tour at Dickies Arena.

The tour’s title represents the persona of both artists.

Bridges said he’s always been a crooner, trying to find the soul in everything, while Crockett has always been the cowboy, full of stories passed down from previous generations.

The tour will be a mix of both worlds, half crooner and half cowboy.

“We’ll be wrapping it all up at the Moody Arena in Austin, and let me tell you, it’s going to be a night to remember,” Bridges wrote. “There’s something special about ending this journey in the heart of Texas, where the energy is electric and the crowd knows how to bring it.”

Tickets for the tour opening Los Angeles show are available now and the rest of the dates go on sale next week.

The artist presale goes live at 10 a.m. March 25, while the public sale opens at 10 a.m. March 28. Find tour dates and ticket links, here.

Before Bridges and Crockett set sail this year, the duo will attend “The Big Night” fundraiser in Fort Worth.

The fundraiser, set for April 3, is the biggest of the year for Bridges’ nonprofit — The Big Good. This year’s event will raise funds for Tarrant Area Food Bank, Tarrant To & Through Partnership, United Community Centers and UpSpire.

Bridges will be joined by Crockett and Maggie Rogers as musical talent for the event.
