When are water parks opening in North Texas? Mark your calendars with these opening dates
Summer is around the corner and area water parks are already preparing for the 2023 season.
Several outdoor water parks are set to open in May with full hours starting in June.
Here are some North Texas water parks set to open next month.
Hurricane Harbor
- Location: 1800 E. Lamar Blvd., Arlington
- Opening: May 20 and 21
- Open daily starting: May 27
Hurricane Harbor will open May 20 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The park, owned and operated by Six Flags Theme Parks, will be open daily starting May 27 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. The park will extend its weekday hours to close at 7 p.m. in mid June.
Splash Dayz
- Location: 405 N. Las Vegas Trail, White Settlement
- Opening: May 20
- Open daily starting: May 27
Splash Dayz will be open May 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. then open for the season May 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays-Sundays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Although Splash Dayz will be closed Mondays, the park will be open for Memorial Day on May 29 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
NRH2O Family Water Park
- Location: 9001 26 Blvd., North Richland Hills
- Opening: May 13, 14, 20 and 21
- Open daily starting: May 27
NRH2O Family Water Park will be open for weekends only starting May 13 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. before opening for the season May 27.
Starting in June, the park will have extended hours Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The park’s hours from Monday through Thursday will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Hawaiian Falls
- Location: 490 Heritage Parkway S., Mansfield and 290 W Byron Nelson Blvd., Roanoke
- Opening: 13, 14, 20 and 21
- Open daily starting: May 26
Hawaiian Falls water parks in Mansfield and Roanoke will open to the general public on weekends starting May 13 before opening for the season on Memorial Day weekend.
The parks will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on May 6 and 7 for season pass holders only.
