Koe Wetzel picks 420 holiday to host grand opening of his Fort Worth bar and restaurant
Country singer Koe Wetzel is celebrating his new Fort Worth venture with a “riotous” event on the 420 holiday.
“Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room” first opened its doors over a month ago on March 16 at 1100 Foch St. The venue sits a few blocks from the popular late night offerings of West 7th Street.
Wetzel is hosting a “grand opening” for the bar and restaurant on Thursday, also known as 420, the special day for those who celebrate all things marijuana. Along with Wetzel, patrons can expect music sets from DJ Rice and Wiki.
The Riot Room is no longer accepting reservations and tables have sold-out for Thursday’s celebration. The venue recommends guests arrive early to beat the line when doors open at 4 p.m.
Along with brews on tap and bottles, the Riot Room has a full menu of appetizers, salads and burgers. A couple of the entrees include the “Kuntry and Wistern Fried Steak” and “The Chicken Farmer,” a beer can-stuffed bird, .
The Riot Room is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Friday and from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. After 9 p.m., it is only open for those 21-years-old and older.
Word broke in January that Wetzel was opening a new business in Fort Worth. A building permit had been issued for the business listing minor renovations including a dance floor, booths and garage doors.
Wetzel released his latest album in 2022 titled “Hell Paso”. The “Something to Talk About” singer is in the midst of his nationwide tour “Road to Hell Paso,” with his next stop planned for the Larry Joe Taylor Texas Music Festival in Stephenville on April 27.
The tour will make a stop in Fort Worth at Dickies Arena on June 9. Tickets are available for the show and start at $39.
