‘Yellowstone’ spin-off series ‘1883: The Bass Reeves Story’ now casting in Fort Worth

Fans of ‘Yellowstone’ and its prequel series ‘1883’ will have the chance to act in an ‘1883’ spin-off series set to film in Fort Worth, Glen Rose and Weatherford.

The spin-off series ‘1883: The Bass Reeves Story’ will depict the story of Bass Reeves, the first black deputy U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi River. The limited series will be directed by Taylor Sheridan and will star David Oyelowo as Bass Reeves.

Talent company Legacy Casting announced on Wednesday that casting is underway for Union and Confederate soldiers with fittings happening for the next two weeks. Filming is set to happen on the last week in January.

Legacy Casting is looking for local talent near Fort Worth, Glen Rose and Weatherford ages 16-50. Pay is $150 per day for 12 days.
