Robert Earl Keen’s ‘Road to Christmas’ performance at Bass Hall canceled due to COVID
A COVID-19 breakout within the Robert Earl Keen band and crew has forced the cancellation of his remaining “The Road to Christmas” concerts, including one originally set for Dec. 30 at Bass Performance Hall.
The performance, selected by Keen this as this year’s themed tour, started Dec. 1 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The show at Bass Performance Hall was scheduled to be the last in the series, with performances planned in Nashville on Dec. 28 and Germantown, Tennessee, on Dec. 29 before reaching Fort Worth.
Bass Performance Hall said in an email that would-be concertgoers who purchased their tickets through Bass Hall’s website or the box office will receive a refund for the face value of the tickets and processing fees to the original method of payment. If card information has changed or there are concerns regarding the refund, ticket holders should contact boxoffice@basshall.com.
Those who purchased their tickets from a third party will need to contact the point of purchase for instructions on what to do.
“We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this cancellation causes ticket holders,” Bass Hall said in a news release. “Thank you in advance for understanding that safety must be everyone’s primary concern.”
The cancellation comes days after Texas Ballet Theater announced it would cancel its final two performances of “The Nutcracker” because of COVID-19 concerns.
