Is this Taylor Sheridan’s next project? TV series may film in Tarrant courthouse
A potential Paramount+ TV series is eyeing the Tarrant County Courthouse for filming in early April.
“Frisco King” is the unconfirmed spin-off of the Taylor Sheridan creation “Tulsa King,” in which Sylvester Stallone plays a New York Mafia capo who is exiled to Tulsa after being imprisoned for 25 years.
Paramount+ announced a spin-off called “NOLA King,” which follows Samuel L. Jackson’s character Russell Lee Washington Jr. trying to reinvent himself on the run from the New York mob. In January, there were whispers of “NOLA King” being renamed “Frisco King,” but nothing is confirmed by Paramount or Sheridan.
According to an unsigned contract with Tarrant County, parts of “Frisco King” will be filmed in the fourth floor courtroom of the county courthouse. King Street Productions, Inc., which is a local production company for Paramount Pictures, is seeking approval on Tuesday to film a courtroom scene there in April.
The public document might be the first hint as to what’s next from the North Texas film mogul.
Sheridan is responsible for “Yellowstone,” “Landman” and quite a bit of filming in Fort Worth, which prompted the largest film studio in Texas to be built right here in Cowtown.
