Finger-pointing Banister, removable Beltre helmet among Texas Rangers’ bobbleheads in 2016
The Texas Rangers are stepping up their bobblehead game.
Among the nine 2016 bobblehead giveaways scheduled for 2016 are manager Jeff Banister in a powder blue retro uniform pointing his finger with a smile on his face. Fans will recall the memorable moment last season in Houston when a benches-clearing kerfuffle with the Astros included a famous scene in which Banister pointed and shouted something in the direction of Astros’ manager A.J. Hinch. He wasn’t smiling at that moment but both managers have since downplayed the incident. The Banister giveaway is scheduled for April 19 when the Astros visit Globe Life Park.
Another surefire bobblehead hit will be Adrian Beltre’s on Aug. 14. It will include a removable helmet so fans can touch the famously head-protective Beltre’s noggin.
Others include Rougned Odor sliding into home plate, Cole Hamels’ first bobblehead as a Ranger and three dot race bobbleheads.
Here’s the complete list of Rangers 2016 bobblehead giveaways:
