New Baylor football coach Matt Rhule grabbed another Texas high school football coach, and a good one in Cedar Hill’s Joey McGuire.

The move was first reported by SicEm365 on Wednesday.

In 14 seasons, McGuire took Cedar Hill to new heights. He had a 141-42 record with playoff appearances in the past 12 years. The Longhorns won UIL state football titles in 2006, 2013 and 2014.

Before his arrival in 2002, the program hadn’t won a playoff game.

Cedar Hill was 11-3 this season. The Longhorns lost 55-41 to DeSoto in the Class 6A Division II state quarterfinals.
