Mansfield Legacy stud safety picks up first collegiate offer
Mansfield Legacy sophomore Jalen Catalon put up absurd numbers this season for the Broncos defense - helping the program to its deepest playoff run in school history.
The 5-foot-10 and 175-pound free safety led the team with more than 180 tackles, nine interceptions and seven pass deflections. He accounted for almost a quarter of the total team tackles and three forced fumbles. Legacy’s defense had 16 total interceptions.
On Wednesday, Catalon posted on Twitter that he had received his first offer - from Missouri.
I'm blessed to announce that I have received my first offer from The university of Missouri!!! #Ripemuptigers pic.twitter.com/eCjOaqspt0

Catalon, whose Broncos lost to Highland Park 14-7 in last week’s Class 5A Division I state quarterfinals, recorded double-digit tackles in 11 of 14 games, with three games of 20 or more. He had a season-high 24 against Aledo on Sept. 9.
An illegal block nullified the TD, but the interception by Legacy's @jcatalon27 stands to kill another Cleburne drive. @legacybroncofb pic.twitter.com/dfJRq1ugJT
