UTA, women’s basketball coach agree to contract extension

UT Arlington and women’s basketball coach Krista Gerlich have agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2019-20 season, the school announced Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.

UTA battled injuries to finish 15-16 last season. The year before, Gerlich led the Mavericks to a 17-14 record, their first winning season since 2008-09 and a 14-win improvment from the previous season.
