TCU coach Jamie Dixon has hired Tom Herrion as a special assistant and Thomas Montigel as operations coordinator, rounding out the basketball staff, the school announced Thursday.

Herrion spent 2007 to 2010 as associate head coach under Dixon at Pittsburgh. He spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Georgia Tech. He is a former head coach at Marshall and College of Charleston.

Montigel was a graduate assistant the past two seasons at TCU, where he played from 2011 to 2014. He is the son of TCU golf coach Bill Montigel, a former Horned Frogs basketball assistant coach who recruited Dixon to TCU.

Dixon had previously hired David Patrick, Ryan Miller and Corey Barker as assistant coaches.
