No. 10 TCU rallied for five runs in the final two innings, but Baylor held on for an 8-5 victory Saturday, handing the Horned Frogs their second straight loss at Baylor Ballpark.

TCU (33-14, 11-8 Big 12) continued to struggle on the mound. Starter Mitchell Traver (0-1), working back from a preseason back injury, gave up a run on three hits in three innings and took the loss. Three TCU relievers combined to allow seven runs on nine hits.

Baylor (22-25, 8-12) did most of its damage on a two-run double by Kameron Esthay in the fifth and a two-out, four-run rally in the sixth that put the Bears up 7-0.

Dane Steinhagen went 2-for-4 for TCU with two RBIs, and Mason Hesse went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, including a two-run double in the ninth, when TCU brought the tying run to the plate.
