TCU women’s basketball seek 10th straight win on home court
A former TCU women’s assistant coach returns to campus Saturday as head coach of UT Rio Grande Valley.
Larry Tidwell spent eight years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Horned Frogs under Jeff Mittie. He was responsible for recruiting former TCU star Sandora Irvin.
I think they’re a very high IQ team. They play intelligent basketball.

Tidwell returns with an offensively savvy squad as the Frogs host the Vaqueros at 2 p.m. at the University Rec Center.
“I think they’re a very high IQ team. They play intelligent basketball. They are well coached, obviously,” TCU coach Raegan Pebley said.
The Vaqueros (4-2) have hoisted 149 3-point attempts in six games, hitting at a 33.6 percent clip.
TCU (4-1) has won nine consecutive home games.
Pebley is still working to find the best mix of players on a team with several new faces.
“So far, a lot of the players have been able to produce,” she said. “As long as people can stay consistent and really execute game plans and execute our philosophies on both ends of the floor we’ll stay consistent in going that deep.”
