TCU coach Gary Patterson is Home Depot Coach of the Year

TCU coach Gary Patterson will receive the Home Depot Coach of the Year Award on Thursday during the college football awards show as 7 p.m. on ESPN..

Patterson led the Horned Frogs to a share of the Big 12 title in their third year in the conference and a berth in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 31.

Coming off a 4-8 season, TCU was picked to seventh in the Big 12. Instead, the Horned Frogs finished 11-1 and sixth in the College Football Playoff rnakings. In 14 seasons, Patterson has led TCU to nine 10-win seasons.
