KaVontae Turpin’s 61-yard catch and run. The freshman is proving to be a weapon, and the Frogs are proving eager to use him.

Second-quarter highlight

Josh Doctson’s 29-yard touchdown catch gave TCU a 21-10 lead and him second place on the school’s all-time list. He tied Cory Rodgers and Mike Renfro with 17.

Third-quarter highlight

Kolby Listenbee went up for a pass in the end zone and wrestled it away from the defender covering him. It was his second of the season.

Fourth-quarter highlight

Josh Doctson’s 42-yard touchdown catch, when he made an adjustment and turned inside the defender in time to lay out for the ball in the end zone.

Game balls

QB Trevone Boykin. Completed 21 of 30 passes for 454 yards (the second most in his career) and five touchdowns and ran for 50 yards and a touchdown.

WR Josh Doctson. Caught five passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns, including the clincher, to make up for two holding calls.

RB Aaron Green. Rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

S Denzel Johnson. Led the Frogs with 10 tackles, two for loss and had a pass breakup on third down in the second half.
