‘Absolutely pathetic’: Social media blasts ex-TCU receiver in wake of harassment lawsuit
Social media was abuzz Thursday upon learning former TCU wide receiver Kolby Listenbee is suing TCU and the Big 12 Conference for a pattern of abuse and harassment.
Reactions on social media to the lawsuit ranged from confusion to anger, with many – like Fort Worth residents Steve Munday and Benjamin Montes – claiming Listenbee is blaming TCU head coach Gary Patterson, the university and others for a lackluster NFL career of his own doing.
“Victimhood as a second career choice,” one Facebook user wrote.
“So you’re making claims after you didn’t make the cut,” another wrote.
You assume just because we are tcu fans we were fans of listenbee’s. The kid had straight line speed, average hands, and ran below average routes. That’s why he hasn’t made an NFL roster.

“Did they force you to take the shots? Hell no,” another person posted to Facebook. “You wanted to show the NFL scouts.”
Others even went so far as to tweet their displeasure directly at Listenbee.
.imagine suing your coach and alma mater of 4 years (who gave you a free education) all because you got hurt and people told you things would pan out different

Yep pretty upset about this. Can’t believe Kolby would do this it sucks. Hope it doesn’t turn out to hurt us too much. As fans of TCU and people who supported Kolby I think we need more than “abuse” to justify Gary being sued.

So you're basically failing on the NFL level so now you're trying to sue. Absolutely pathetic @List10bee_Swagg

Not all TCU fans were quite as vocal against Listenbee. Some of the TCU faithful took to social media to express a general disappointment with the situation.
Well this is disappointing

I receive daily reports on court filings and saw this a few hours ago, but it was reported as TCU being the one that filed the proceeding to seek a declaratory judgment of some sort. Regardless, this is sad and unfortunate.

Fans of TCU’s rivals - like Ryan Martin, a Baylor fan from Dallas - also took the news as opportunity to blast the Frogs.
“Have fun, TCU,” Martin wrote. “Don’t throw stones in glass houses. Sic ‘Em, Bears!”
