Will fans stay home for the Big 12 title game?

When No. 11 TCU and No.3 Oklahoma battle for the Big 12 title at AT&T Stadium, the two teams will also be fighting for a potential bid to the 2017 College Football Playoff. So why are there still so many tickets available online?

Ticketmaster shows thousands of upper-level seats available starting at $90. And those numbers have held constant throughout this week.

If those figures hold through the 11:30 a.m. kickoff on Saturday, the event will join several of the other major conference championship games that have struggled to fill the stands in recent years. Last year both the ACC and the Pac-12 saw bunches of empty seats for their conference title games.
