Suspects rob Texas doughnut shop, pass out doughnuts while they're at it

Police are searching for three suspects who robbed a doughnut shop in north Houston last month.

The interesting part?

One of the suspects passed out doughnuts to customers during the incident, according to surveillance video released by Houston police this week.

The robbery happened about 3 p.m. on Oct. 16 at a Shipley's Do-Nuts, police said.

The video shows three men walking into the store. The first one, who was holding a handgun, hopped the counter and began demanding money from the cash registers.

The second man also jumped the counter, while the third took two customers' cellphones.

But while the first two suspects continued demanding money from employees, the third went over the counter and offered the customers doughnuts, police said. The suspect grabbed a handful, hopped back over the counter and gave them to the customers. After that, the suspects left the store.

The suspects were wearing hoodies and bandannas. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
