The reward for information in the case of a Fort Worth woman missing since August has increased to $30,000, Plano police said Thursday.

Christina Morris, 23, was last seen on surveillance video Aug. 30, 2014, entering a parking garage with Enrique Gutierrez Arochi, 24, a friend from high school.

Arochi was arrested on Dec. 13, 2014, and has been charged with aggravated kidnapping in her disappearance, Plano police Officer David Tilley said.

Morris’ DNA was found in the trunk of Arochi’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, according to his arrest affidavit.

He remains in Collin County Jail on $1 million bail. He asked for a bail reduction in January and was denied, WFAA reported.

Tilley said the reward is specifically for “information leading to the arrest and indictment in her disappearance if it has been determined that a crime has been committed.”

“We have arrested and charged him with aggravated kidnapping — that supports the fact that a crime has been committed,” he said.

Tipsters who lead police to the “missing piece to the puzzle” are eligible for the reward, he said.

With fundraisers, the family raised an additional $5,000 to add to the Crime Stoppers reward that had been $25,000. — Monica S. Nagy
