I have an extensive background in retail, and construction management running large budgets in difficult economies over the course of several decades. This experience gives me the knowledge of what business and contractors are looking for to relocate into our area. I have a personal connection to hundreds of our citizens that I have known for several generations and am aware of the need for positive change to many of the current policies that have a direct effect on the quality of life not only for the young but elderly in our community.
In 100 words or less, please outline the three most critical problems facing the public office you are seeking and the solutions you propose to address them.
1.) Perception of our government in the community. Alze recognizes it has a perception problem but has been unable to tackle it. Azle residents need to have better access through a user friendly environment and that starts with the Mayor encouraging an open, compassionate and accessible council.
2.) Outdated complicated and contradictory codes. The municipal code needs a overhaul to fit the needs of the citizens fairly
3.) Azle has a huge water run off problem. Citizens need to know that this is being addressed in a timely fashion and what they can expect in the future. Citizens have felt as though there has not been any progress in this with money spent on in other areas that are not as critical. This needs to be #1 priority as homes are suffering in the process.

I serve as a legal secretary / administrative assistant for a law enforcement division in Tarrant County. The position has exposed me to aspects of budgeting for a large organization. I have excellent managerial, organizational, and problem solving skills which I need both as a parent and in my job. I recognize the importance of communication between many diverse groups of people, whose opinions are necessary for the functioning of the organization as a whole.

I have been a resident of Blue Mound for over 20 years and realize the city of Blue Mound isn't immune to violence and crime and therefore we need to retain our city employees by offering a compensation package equivalent to neighboring cities. We need to contribute to the security of the neighborhood by creating Neighborhood Watch Programs and/or Citizens' Police Academies. These programs assist in the reduction of crime and help to bridge the gap between the citizens and the police department where they can work in unison.

I have significant experience in private and public organizational management, strategic planning, small business practices, and the legal/regulatory environment within each operates. My primary professional focus today includes organizational performance, strategy, and processes in a large Research & Development organization. I believe that my combined education, skills and experience qualify me to meet the current and future challenges facing the citizens of Haslet.
In 100 words or less, please outline the three most critical problems facing the public office you are seeking and the solutions you propose to address them.
The most critical problems facing our community are: (1) regional growth and its local impact, (2) economic development, and (3) quality of life. Regional growth will continue to stress the importance of proactive, comprehensive strategies to deal with new demands on local government and the community (infrastructure, crime prevention, regulatory and legal compliance, etc.). Successful, local economic development is likewise contingent upon the ability of local leaders to reach agreement on the best path forward for sustained economic growth. Finally, the maintenance of high standards for our community will ensure a great quality of life for the citizens of Haslet.

In 100 words or less, please outline the three most critical problems facing the public office you are seeking and the solutions you propose to address them.
The three most critical problems facing our city are needed economic development, replacing aging infrastructure, and maintaining/improving our housing stock. We need to replicate our success with QT/Burger King with other businesses to increase much needed sales tax and commercial property tax revenues and complete the recently started River OaksBlvd redevelopment project. We need to complete the replacement of our water and sewer lines so that we can renovate and improve our streets to attract investment in our housing stock, and we need to enforce housing codes to maintain and improve our housing stock to attract new young families.

As a successful business owner, I have acquired many skills that would serve me well as a community leader. Skills such as leadership, budgeting, planning, acting on those plans and, most important of all, listening to those I serve. As a father, I have raised my family here in Saginaw since 1994, so I have a strong knowledge of the community. I believe in integrating citizens into the planning and decision making processes of our community. I believe in controlled growth and development, while retaining the qualities and identity that make Saginaw special. I am the candidate for the citizens.
In 100 words or less, please outline the three most critical problems facing the public office you are seeking and the solutions you propose to address them.
- Planning and Development. Focus on attracting new businesses to Saginaw, generating much needed revenue, and jobs. One idea would be a water park. Improve our existing parks and consider land acquisition for development of additional parks. New home construction should be scrutinized carefully and kept to a minimum. Strive for balance.
- Parks and Recreation. Bring back the Train & Grain Festival. Explore opportunities for additional festivals and other family entertainment.
- Pursue ADA Compliancy with Federal Laws including sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, etc. Our public areas should be accessible by all.
