Body found in Trinity River water in Fort Worth; authorities investigate cause of death

A man’s body was found on Monday in the water of the Trinity River in Fort Worth, police said.

The body was found about 11:30 a.m. at bridge mark WF2220, west of Beach Street.

The man has been identified as 40-year-old Rafael Carbajal-Gomez.

The circumstances of the discovery are under Fort Worth police investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the cause of death.
