Identity of man found fatally shot in Fort Worth home disclosed

A man discovered dead in a home Friday morning has been identified as Christopher Ortega, 29, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical exainer’s website on Monday.

Ortega died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death has been ruled a homicide, officials at the medical examiner’s office said.

No one has been arrested.

Ortega’s body was found Friday morning at a home in the 1500 block of Willow Park Drive in south Fort Worth.

Officers responded to the shooting call shortly before 4 a.m. Friday. A roommate had called police reporting that the victim had been shot, according to a preliminary police report. The victim was shot by an as-yet unknown suspect, police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
