After a two-year federal investigation, the owners of the Gas Pipe head shop chain were arrested Wednesday night facing federal charges for conspiring to sell synthetic marijuana, WFAA reported..

Gerald “Jerry” Shults and his daughter, Amy Lynn Herrig, are charged with conspiring to sell synthetic marijuana, which is commonly known as K2, Spice or herbal incense.

Both Shults and Herrig deny the accusations.

Shults is also the owner of the Ridglea Theater. He bought the historic Fort Worth theater in 2010 and restored it, but has not produced a regular slate of shows at the venue. A Gas Pipe outlet is next to the theater. Read more at WFAA.com
