Man dies after being shot outside Fort Worth club last month
A 26-year-old man who was shot multiple times outside a downtown club last month has died from his injuries.
Ernesto Rodriguez of Fort Worth was pronounced dead at 1:46 a.m. Monday at John Peter Smith Smith Hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
According to a police report, Rodriguez was shot several times shortly before 2 a.m. Feb. 22 outside Club Vice, 350 W. Fiftth Street.
The case was originally assigned to the gang unit, indicating that police suspected it could be gang-related.
Homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman said that with Rodriguez’s death, homicide detectives are now joining the investigation.
No arrests have been made as of Monday, Loughman said.
