Man shot to death in Fort Worth identified
A 32-year-old man who was found shot in his car in east Fort Worth early Tuesday and later died has been identified.
Chester Johnson died of gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen at John Peter Smith Hospital at 2:59 a.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Officers were dispatched around 2:20 a.m. to the 3700 block of Village Creek Road, where they found the man sitting in an Acura, critically injured, according to Cpl. Tracey Knight, Fort Worth police spokeswoman, and police incident reports.
MedStar transported Johnson to JPS.
No arrests had been made in the shooting Tuesday night.
