Ebby Halliday Acers, known as the First Lady of Real Estate in Dallas and Fort Worth because of her wildly successful agency, died overnight, the company announced Wednesday. She was 104.

Ms. Acers, opened Ebby Halliday REALTORS in 1945. The Dallas-based company is the largest independtly-owned real estate firm in Texas and the 10th largest in the nation, according to the company’s website.

Last year, the company’s 1,700 sales associates participated in about 19,200 property transactions with a sales volume of $6.64 billion.
